It wasn't much of a trade demand anyways. It was more of a young man being sick of being told that he wasn't going to be traded by one person while anytime he heard his name anywhere else it was in terms of him being traded. |

Nice blog Steve. Hope Bobby realizes that just because someone is asking about you doesn't mean you're being moved. Also, if some idiot GM is going to over-pay for you to make his boss who happens to be your dad's buddy happy then, yeah, you're gone. Get a NTC in your next contract and none of this happens. |

No way they could possibly trade him now with Perry and Getzlaf both going the UFA route (they would of signed by now if they intended on staying). |

My apologies. I inadvertently deleted a sentence indicating that he had backed off. *fixed* |

Hahaha yeah that's exactly what I said, the leafs will sign both.. You're an idiot if you think they're planning on staying without a mega long term deal which won't be possible in 4 days. |

I know that trading for Ryan was a hot button topic for a lot of East Coast teams (particularly the Flyers), but I don't think anyone out here in Cali ever thought for a second that he would be moved.....the Ducks have had a lot of ups and downs in recent seasons, but they know that trading a 30-goal a year forward in his prime is not the way to fix it, especially when people offer you packages of 2nd-3rd line forwards, 2nd-3rd pair defensemen and high draft picks that haven't panned out..... |

Hard to believe, I know.
Maybe if the Ducks throw in Getzlaf to even it out. |

In the season where Crosby was killing the league prior to the Steckel collision and Malkin was struggling Leaf fans were offering the same deals to the Penguins. It always consisted of Kaberle (at the time), Kulemin, Kadri, Giguere, Gunnarsson and a 1st. |

They were offering the KKKK - Kaberle, Kulemin, Kadri and Kommisarek.
I remember the Giguere and a 1st for Staal idea some numbnut Leaf fan brought up thinking the Pens should do it.

Steve Palumbo: Bobby Ryan Finally Back Off of his "Stupid" Trade Demand - Steve Palumbo
His words might have been immature but I don't think they were stupid. The Ducks aren't a deep team and you know they aren't moving the pair of Getzlef and Perry. If I am Ryan, I am asking why I am not untouble like them. The answer is, the ducks can get the most without moving their two top stars. I would be upset too. |
